Columbia, SC to Clearwater, FL

Ron and I had a great day for travel. Today was scheduled to be the longest day of travel on our ministry trip. The weather was cool to start, then got really hot when we reached Florida (sorry for those in the cold north) We did a total of 520 miles on the motorcycles today. Sore butts were the result. It felt really good to get out of the saddle! We are being hosted by a retired brother and sister in the Lord, and boy is she a character! She came out when we arrived and said, "Welcome to the Bates Motel!" (Their names are Bob and Ester Bates). She calls herself Esther the pester. We went out to dinner with them and are getting settled into our room for the night. We are thankful for your prayers. God answered them with safety and great weather. We had a couple of close calls, but God is good and there were no mishaps. Tomorrow we have a lunch appointment with our contact Pastor. We are looking forward to a good night's rest!
